Otay Watershed Management Plan Area

Background:

The cities of Chula Vista and Imperial Beach and the San Diego Unified Port District are partnering with the County of San Diego in this effort.  A workgroup will coordinate the development of a watershed management plan for the Otay River Watershed, which will be conducted through a public-driven process.  Everyone is encouraged to attend future public workshops, as they provide an opportunity to offer valued input into the watershed management plan.

Blue pointer In November of 2003, the County of San Diego hired Aspen Environmental Consulting Services to prepare the Otay River Watershed Plan and Special Area Management Plan.

Blue pointer Otay Lakes Clean-Up organized by the Friends of the Otay Valley Regional Park on Dec. 13, 2003 and January 17, 2004 were a Success!
