Carlsbad Watershed Network Management Plan

The Carlsbad Watershed Network (CWN) was created in 1997 to coordinate planning, share resources and find solutions for the benefit of the entire Carlsbad watershed.  The CWN acts as a clearinghouse for water resources projects within the Carlsbad watershed.  The CWN meets on a monthly basis.  Participants include agencies, jurisdictions and non-profit organizations with an interest in streams, creeks and lagoon resources.  Members include the following:

The CWN was awarded a Clean Water Act 205(j) grant from the State Water Resources Control Board in 1999 to develop a Watershed Management Plan.  The Resource Conservation District of Greater San Diego provides the day to day management of the study.  The Carlsbad Watershed Network Management Plan, a management plan for the coastal watersheds of the Carlsbad hydrologic unit, was completed in February 2002.
