By using rain barrels, San Diegans will conserve water, reduce runoff pollution and save money on their water bill when reusing rainwater for their gardens and landscapes.
The Rainwater − Catch it San Diego program offers 50 gallon “Ivy” discounted rain barrels for purchase at http://rainbarrelprogram.org/SD by credit card. The normal retail price is $129 but through this program they are only $90. Homeowners may also be eligible for a rebate of $35 each on residential rain barrels for up to 2 rain barrels per household, which could bring the cost down to $55 per rain barrel. The 34th Annual Coastal Cleanup Day is September 15, 2018!
Join us on Saturday, September 15th from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM as we clean up and beautify over 100 sites throughout San Diego County! At last year’s efforts, with a turnout of 6,686 volunteers at 105 coastal and inland cleanup sites, we successfully removed 128,168 pounds of litter from San Diego County. Our volunteers channeled their appreciation for San Diego’s environment into action to protect it. Join us this year and be a part of this international event!
